Google Calendar

Danny connects to your Google Calendar so it can schedule tasks around your existing commitments. The morning planner uses your calendar to find open time slots, and you can ask Danny about your schedule in chat.

Connect your calendar

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Connect Google Account
  3. Sign in with Google and grant calendar access
  4. Choose which calendars Danny can read (work, personal, etc.)

Danny requests read and write access to your calendars. Read access lets it see your events when planning your day. Write access lets it create calendar events for scheduled tasks.

What Danny does with your calendar

Morning planner

When you run your morning routine, Danny checks your calendar for the day. It sees meetings, appointments, and blocked time, then suggests when to work on your tasks during the open slots.

Task scheduling

When you ask Danny (via chat) to schedule a task for a specific time, Danny can create a matching calendar event. For example:

  • "Schedule 'Review proposal' for tomorrow at 2pm"
  • "Block 90 minutes Friday afternoon for the project presentation"

Danny creates the event and you'll see it in Google Calendar alongside your other commitments. Danny only creates events when you explicitly ask — it does not add calendar events automatically.

Chat queries

Ask Danny about your schedule in the chat:

  • "What's on my calendar today?"
  • "When am I free this afternoon?"
  • "Schedule this task for my next open slot"

Danny reads your calendar in real time to answer these questions.

Disconnect your calendar

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Disconnect next to Google Calendar

This removes Danny's access immediately. Your calendar events are not affected -- Danny never deletes events it did not create.

You can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.
