Billing & Usage
Danny uses AI for several features — classification, estimation, brain dump processing, chat, and more. These operations consume tokens, which are metered against your account.
What counts as AI usage

Usage depends on the length of your tasks and conversations, and how often you use AI features.
Trial
New accounts include a 14-day trial of the Starter plan. At the end of the trial, your account moves to the free tier unless you subscribe.
Plans
Free tier — includes 50 AI operations per month. If you hit the limit, AI features pause until the next billing cycle. Your tasks, views, and non-AI features continue to work normally.
Starter plan — starts at approximately $2/month with a higher included allowance. Additional operations beyond the included amount are billed as metered overages. See askdanny.to/pricing for current rates.
You can subscribe, upgrade, or cancel at any time from Settings > Billing.
If you run out of tokens mid-month, subscribing to a paid plan gives you more tokens immediately — you don't have to wait for the billing cycle to reset.
Viewing your usage
Go to Settings > Usage to see your current token consumption. The usage card shows how many tokens you have used in the current billing period and how much remains.
Managing your subscription
Payments are handled through Stripe. Go to Settings > Billing to:
- Upgrade or downgrade your plan
- Update your payment method
- Cancel your subscription
Plan changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current period — you keep access until then.
