Brain Dump Mode
Unload everything on your mind in one go and let Danny extract the tasks from whatever you say.
What it does
Brain dump mode lets you talk to Danny the way you'd talk to yourself — messy, incomplete, stream-of-consciousness. You describe everything on your mind without worrying about structure, and Danny extracts the individual tasks from your text. No need to write one task at a time.
How to use it
- Open the chat panel.
- Either click the Brain Dump button, or just start talking: say
"I have a bunch of stuff on my mind"and Danny will shift into extraction mode. - Type or paste everything you need to do, as loosely as you like.
- Danny reads through it and proposes a list of extracted tasks.
- Review the list, edit if needed, and confirm to add them all at once.
Example
You type:
"I've got the lease renewal to deal with, need to call Sarah about the Q2 report, haven't called my accountant in weeks, should probably schedule a dentist appointment, and there's that thing about the conference talk proposal due Friday."
Danny extracts:
- Renew lease
- Call Sarah about Q2 report
- Call accountant
- Schedule dentist appointment
- Submit conference talk proposal (due Friday)
Tips
- You don't need to say it perfectly — Danny handles incomplete sentences, fragmented thoughts, and mixed topics.
- Brain dump is especially useful when you're anxious or overwhelmed — getting everything out of your head and into a list is the first step.
- After the dump, ask Danny to prioritize the extracted tasks:
"now what should I do first?"
